Why was CV Yarat redesigned?
The current CV Yarat platform was decided to be redesigned because it had fallen behind modern standards. The previous version lagged significantly in terms of functionality and design, and users now expect to see more up-to-date technologies.
Research process:
Before starting the design process of the CV Yarat platform, I held a meeting with relevant employees of the organizing company, the 'State Employment Agency,' to learn their thoughts on the platform. We discussed what innovations they wanted to implement and talked about the demands of the modern era.
Since I didn't have user data, I decided to identify target audiences. After identifying the target groups, I decided to conduct an online survey with them. The purpose of the survey was to validate the ideas that emerged from discussions with the SEA. I prepared my questions based on the survey and shared them via Google Forms with people from the target audience, then analyzed the results.
Who have we considered as our primary target audience?
I have divided the target audience into two groups:
Job seekers aged 18-45 who apply for vacancies.
Human Resources representatives aged 18-50 working in companies across Azerbaijan.
Problems identified through discussions with the DMA and the survey conducted with the target audience:
Results from the discussion with DMA staff:
Developing an updated platform for HR representatives and job seekers.
Attracting people from both target audiences within Azerbaijan to the platform.
Findings from the surveys:
According to the survey results, 74% of unemployed individuals struggle to find a platform where they can create a free CV.
81% of unemployed individuals are unable to easily create a CV due to a lack of design skills.
62% of unemployed individuals want the information in their CVs to be verified.
57% of HR representatives find it difficult to match candidates with job vacancies.
